WOW. So I like All Saints stuff, it's amazing, but most of it, is just...too involved for me.

It's only two days to my book launch, even though, everything is in place, and should run smoothly, I'm on the verge of what I believe is a panic attack. (I was significantly calmer when I took these photos a couple of hours ago). But yes, for a variety of reasons, the pressure is building. I think I need to go for a walk or something.

Anyway. Yes, geek chic for the days tasks. I'm going to wear something similar to meet my sister in tomorrow. I haven't seen her since christmas so I'm reallllly excited to.

I'm too old to be dealing with the pettyness of people who act like children.

Today I'll just enjoy the sun, and take an extra long shower. ANYWAY, so this outfit has many similarities to this one but with a much more summery feel. 

Everything about this one feels luxurious though, all the fabrics have such a great feel. And it's floaty enough to suit the surprisingly warm summer sun. I wore it yesterday wondering round east London, drinking cocktails pretending to feel classy. 

Gotta love the shoes though. Amazing.

I'd say this was a little overkill for here in April, but it wasn't at all. I was too hot for most of the day and for some stupid reason took my jacket out with me that I had to carry round.

I was hoping to show you my new studded sandals (still sale shopping...) but I opened them today and there's a stud missing. Nice one office! Clearly ordering shoes online doesn't agree with me.

anyway, I've been waiting for a chance to wear this shirt for a really long time so as soon as the sun came out I KNEW I had to wear it. It's a very heavy material but it's so perfect and summery at the same time.

How long does it take for your nail varnish to become chipped? It takes me about 10 seconds after it dries, it doesn't matter what I do, I'm just THAT destructive.

So this is pretty much my favourite dress ever. It's a ridiculous, shapeless, verging on ugly piece, but I love it. The print is amazing, and there's horses riding into a sunset on my ass (Oddly enough I'm NOT a horse person AT ALL). But yeah. Love.

It also looks better with a belt, but it also looks much dressier so in order to keep it a bit more relaxed I like to wear it without. There's something nice about it's boxy shape without too. 

You can't see it here, but all this stress is playing havoc with my skin. Goddamn you naturally terrible complexion.

This doesn't even communicate just how vivid the colours in the sky were this evening.

Make Me Up.

So I suck at all things make-up. I had really bad skin when I was younger so it might be because of that. Anyway, I'm also totally fascinated by it. Yesterday I kinda...splashed out? 

As summers coming I want a lighter, brighter complexion, not knowing what products I like/don't like, I decided the best way to get around it was to by a 'brightening kit'. I love all things benefit so despite the hefty price tag I went with it

My favourite things from it so far are definitely the Posie tint and the highbeam. The tint is for cheeks and lips so I think I might have to go by the full size, it's SO good. All of it's really great though, and it does exactly what it says on the tin kinda thing.

Now I'm really not into lipstick, not least because my boyfriend really hates it, I just have always found it looks too...showy(?) on me. However sometimes my lips need a little help with some colour, so I decided the way round this was to invest in Maxfactors 'lipfinity lasting lip tint' again. I've totally fallen in love with the product, I got the top coat too (below) to keep it on (lipfinity, yeah RIGHT). Instead of just erasing your natural lip colour it kinda works with it, and blends into it, which suits me so much more.

So yes, some great products that were worth the insane amount of money.

Different Days

 

Today was really nice, a perfect almost summer evening. I went to soho and ate sushi with the boy and his friend, we eventually found a bar that wasn't too packed too.

I ordered my first pair of Jeffrey Campbells and they're on their way. I'm SO excited to get them. Lace up 99's. The perfect wedge. I have odd shaped feet so as much as I love the classic 99 I need lace-ups in order to keep them on my feet...

I Don't have any full lengths at the moment, my boyfriend has just finished doing his grad film and our room is FULL of all the stuff from it so there's no room...

These were from yesterday, for the first time in ages I actually went out, you know, to an actual event (rather than just for a drink). It was pretty good although I was plagued by a headache for most of the day.

Anyway I simply love this Dress, I got in the sale which makes it even better. It's very flattering and comfy. Oh and my hair really was something to contend with yesterday...

So I've been a bit rubbish for a couple of days and it's a shame because I really wish I could post I was wearing. I wore my favourite dress yesterday and everything! Things are getting tense because of the looming book launch and I seem to be spending every second I have on it, but it is going incredibly well so I can't complain.

Wishes and shoes

I ordered some shoes the other day, all the way from Sweden. I've never bought shoes online before, but anyway, they arrived at 7.30am(!) this morning. And well, let's just say, for £50 they were put together, somewhat worse that I was expecting. 

Really not impressed. The heel is falling away already, there is an eyelet missing and there's already blemishes on the mirror work. So thanks Modekungen, but no thanks. SO annoyed.

We'll see what their excuses are. Originally I was wearing this outfit with a leather skirt, but I realised that it did a good job of making me look like a hooker when paired with these tights.
